We Accept Illinois Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP)
Playtime University participates in the Illinois Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) through the Department of Human Services (IDHS). This program helps income-eligible working families, students, and parents in training programs pay for childcare services.
Eligible families may receive coverage for:
Full-time infant care
Toddler and preschool programs
Pre-K readiness
Before- and after-care (if applicable)
We recommend applying as early as possible to avoid any delays in coverage. While approval is pending, families are still responsible for payment (see agreement details below).
Who Qualifies for Child Care Assistance?
Eligibility is based on several factors, including:
Income and household size
Employment or approved education/training status
Child’s age and family needs
To see if you qualify, visit the Illinois DHS Child Care Assistance website or speak with our center staff — we’re happy to help guide you through the process.
Family Responsibilities Under Assistance
While we work closely with CCAP and other approved funding sources, families are still legally responsible for their child’s tuition and fees if assistance is delayed or denied.
As outlined in our Child Care Assistance Payment Agreement:
We’re here to support you every step of the way — but it is essential that all forms and documentation be submitted on time to prevent disruptions in care.
If no approval letter is received within 21 days, you agree to begin weekly payments in full
Payments made during the waiting period are non-refundable
All required paperwork (employment verification, income proof, forms) must be submitted promptly
If assistance is denied, the full cost of care becomes the family's responsibility
Registration fees and copays are due even with approved funding

Yes! We can help you print, copy, and fax your documents, and we’re happy to answer questions throughout the process.
What if I lose my eligibility?
If you lose CCAP coverage or are denied assistance, you are still responsible for 100% of your child’s tuition. Please contact us immediately to discuss payment options.
